In the framework of “Programma Mattone Internazionale Salute – Pro.M.I.S.”, a subgroup of 9 Italian Regions (Basilicata, Campania, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont, Sardinia, Tuscany, Veneto and Autonomous Province of Trento) is dealing with the "Medical Tourism" issues.
The group is discussing on such theme, which can be considered not only as a de-velopment opportunity for the economic sector, but also strategic in order to im-prove the National Health Systems, also thanks to the medical tourism supply chain in the framework of the globalization of health care delivery.
The conference is the first meeting that in-tends to analyze the concept of "Medical Tourism". The event aims at focusing on good practices and positive experiences of different Member States.
Representatives of the WHO, OECD, Minis-try of Health and Tourism, the academic world and tourism sector at national and in-ternational level will take part at the event.
