"A European strategy to enhance the competitiveness of the tourism industry, a key driver for job creation"
The President of the European Parliament is pleased to announce a high-level conference to discuss “A European strategy to enhance the competitiveness of the tourism industry, a key driver for job creation”, in Brussels on 27 September, International Day of Tourism.
The event will be opened by European Parliament President Tajani, European Commission President Juncker (tbc), with the participation of Vice-President Katainen, the responsible Commissioners, the Chairs of the parliamentary committees involved, leading MEPs, as well as senior representatives from the European Investment Bank and other leading stakeholders.
Aimed at citizens, policy makers, the investor community, market participants of the tourist sector and stakeholders’ representatives, the conference will look at the Tourist sector, focussing discussion on three areas:
