NECSTouR awarded for its special commitment for the Balkans

NECSTouR has been the special guest of the last Gala dinner, organised by the Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations (BAHA) on the 23rd of February in Belgrade.

Mr Tomaso Comazzi, form the Permanent Secretariat, attended this event and pick-up the special price that the BAHA and Mr Branko Krivokapić from the General Secretary of this organisation, decided to assign to NECSTouR this year for its “Contribution to the Development of a Competitive and Sustainable Tourism”.

“Inviting us to Bulgaria last year – said Tomaso Comazzi during the award ceremony - Mr Novavokov, Mr Ragin and the Triavna’s authorities disclosed to the whole Europe the lightly vision to make closer the Balkans and the European Regions of Europe: two realities, with the same values.

And NECSTouR is here now – he continued - This year, we started providing you the know-how of the main touristic regions of Europe, but we are also about to learn from your experience and good practices.”

The award has been personally assigned by Mr Ragin, President of the Bulgarian Restaurants and Hotels Association.
There is a good cooperation between NECSTouR and the Bulgarian Restaurants and Hotels Association, since one year ago (read here)

MEP Novakov was attending the event as well and this ceremony have been an occasion to explore further forms of cooperation in the framework of his portfolio.

A special price has been assigned to Ms Cristina Nunez as well. The NECSTouR coordinator has been awarded for “her contribution to the promotion of the Balkans’ Tourism in Europe”.

We hope this is only the beginning of a stronger presence of NECSTouR in this area, involving new Regions within NECSTouR towards the promotion of competitive and sustainable tourism.

Indeed, as Tomaso Comazzi said at the end of his intervention:

“Some years ago, in western Europe the Balkans were associated just to wars and crises. Let’s show to Europe now, how the different regional and local specific identities are the real heart of this continent and let’s cooperate together at this regional and local level.

This is the dimension on were regional competitive and sustainable tourism can be developed the most.
This is why we strongly believe that together it is possible to build growth, peace and fraternity!
