The Barcelona Declaration Presented to the European Network of UNESCO Sites

 

On the 3rd of October, Mr Tomaso Comazzi from the NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat has been invited to present the NECSTouR experiences and initiatives on the development of a Competitive and Sustainable Tourism at the European Level to 20 representatives of the European Network of Unesco Sites (Mirabilia).

NECSTouR Responses on Strategic Planning for Sustainable Tourism Development presented at the European Tourism Forum

 

On the occasion of the European Tourism Forum 2018, Mr Boštjan BRUMEN, Head of Internationalisation at the Slovenian Chamber of Tourism and Hospitality has been invited to intervene on "Strategic planning for sustainable tourism development".

STAR Cities Project just begun

 

NECSTouR and the other partners attended in Val-de-Marne (Paris) the kick-off meeting of STAR Cities Project on the 27-28 September 2018.

NECSTouR Contributes to the EU Cruise Dialogue for the North Sea, the Atlantic and the Arctic

 

NECSTouR Vice-President, Mr Jan Korthoudt from Flanders Region, represented NECSTouR at the 4th Cruise Dialogue, gathering all the main representatives from the public and private sector interested by the Cruise Tourism.

The event of this year was organised in Nantes on the 25th of September and was focused on the North Sea, the Atlantic and the Arctic

Contribution of NECSTouR on Cycle Tourism during the World Tourism Day 2018

 

 

Mr Josep Rodrígues from the Province of Barcelona, intervened on behalf of NECSTouR to the EuroVelo and Cycle Tourism Conference 2018. The conference was organised this year in Belgian Limburg on September 26th – 28th, in the framework of the World Tourism Day (27 September 2018).

South Limburg reflects on Future Tourism Opportunities for Sustainable Development

VVV Zuid-Limburg organised an inspirational afternoon with drivers and policymakers about sustainable tourism at the end of last week.
The aim was to reflect about the opportunities that the sustainable tourism market can offer in the future.

Project Meeting of MITOMED+ in Porec

 

The 9th project meeting of MITOMED+ Project has been held in Porec (HR), on the 4th and 5th of September 2018.

The event has been attended by NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat and representatives from the other Members involved in this project – Tuscany Region, Andalusia, Porec’s Institute of Agriculture and Tourism and the Univesity of Girona.

NECSTouR participated to the Debate Around a Code of Ethics for Low Cost Airlines

 

NECSTouR contributed to the round table discussion on air passenger rights for sustainable tourism, organised by the Member of the European Parliament Istvan Ujhelyi on the 5th September.

The debate had a special focus on low cost airlines and the several events that have occurred this summer and discussed the proposal of MEP Ujhelyi of  creating a Code of Ethics for Low-Cost Airlines.

NECSTouR contributed to the debate with some contribution gathered among its member Regions.

NECSTouR Explores a Possible Cooperation with the German Parliament

 

Representatives of NECSTouR attended the German Bundestag Reception on the 27th of August in Brussels. The event has been hosted by Mr. Volker Timmermann, Chargé d’affairs of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Belgium

The aim of the event was to discuss about the main tourism priorities for the German Bunderstagand namely Visa, Transport and Internal Market.

At Biosphere we continue to innovate to provide the best service for the development of responsible tourism internationally, which contributes to create a new way of traveling and discovering our planet.

We have improved the design of our website, updating our image and offering a more clear, uniform and simple interface.

Mr Patrick Torrent - NECSTouR President, Catalonia Region - intervened during a session on ‘Maximising the Impact of Tourism on Local Neighbourhoods’, organised at The Sta Mary’s University College campus on the Falls Road (West Belfast) on the 8th of August.
