Peer-to-peer Platform Markets

Jun 15, 2017

The European Commission (DG Justice and Consumers) has published a study on five peer-to-peer platform markets, identifying the main issues for peer consumers and providers from the consumer perspective. While the study showed that most active users are satisfied with their experience, over half of consumers (55%) had at least one problem with peer platforms over the past year, mostly related to the poor quality of goods or services, or to the goods and services not being as described. Almost half of these consumers then said they did not take any action.
