That event has been organised on the 22 October in Livorno by Tuscany Region (NECSTouR founding Region) to identifying good practices and cross-border strategies towards a new sustainable approach for the innovation of the maritime and coastal tourist offer.

2018 Sustainable Destinations Top 100 Call for nominations

 

For the 4th time, the Sustainable Destinations Global Top 100 competition is organised by ten leading sustainable tourism organisations and networks.

Their general aim is to highlight success stories, and to exchange good practices to make all destinations more sustainable, and better for local communities and travellers.

The European Commission is launching the competition to award the title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2019!

 

In line with the preparatory action proposed by the European Parliament, the European Commission is launching the competition to award the title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2019 to two European cities that have developed the smartest, most innovative and inclusive approaches in their tourism development. The European Capital of Smart Tourism initiative aims at enhancing smart tourism – a tourism that is accessible, sustainable and digital, whilst fostering local heritage and creativity.
