Registration to the EUROSTAT Training Courses on Tourism Satellite Accounts is now open

 

The purpose of the European Statistical Training Programme (ESTP) is to provide European statisticians the opportunity to participate in international training courses, workshops and seminars at postgraduate level. The programme is coordinated by Eurostat.

The ESTP programme 2019 includes a course on Tourism Satellite Accounts (26-29 November 2019, Luxembourg).

Participation is free of charge since the programme is financed and supported by the European Commission (Eurostat) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).

Survey to Evaluate the "European Strategy for more Growth and Jobs in Coastal and Maritime Tourism"

 

Most European policies and economic activities directly or indirectly influence Coastal and Maritime Tourism (C&M), which can be a driver for economic growth. Moreover, the 72 percent of NECStouR Regions are C&M Tourism Destinations.
For both that reasons, C&M Tourism is a key priority within the strategy of NECSTouR.

As part of the MITOMED+ Project, NECSTouR Secretariat and some of its members (Andalusia, Insittute of Agriculte and Tourism in Porec and CNR-IBIMET) attended the Workshop of the MED Sustainability Community "Towards Policy Recommendations on Sustainable Tourism: Shaping the Results of the MED Community".

A two-days workshop entitled “Building Sustainable Coastal and Maritime Tourism Policies for Mediterranean Destinations” has been organised in Malaga on the 5 and 6 April 2018

Debate on Indicators. It has been a unique occasion to debate on the use of Indicators to measure Sustainable Tourism Policies in the Mediterranean with some of the main European experts in that field.

The 1st annual CROSTO Observatory Conference will be dedicated to: MEASURING TOURISM SUSTAINABILITY IN PRACTICES.

The conference will be held on November 29, 2018, starting at 9:30 am, at the House of Europe, Augusta Cesarca 4, Zagreb, Croatia, organized by The Institute for Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia, under the auspices of Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia.

The second meeting of the Working Group of Experts on Measuring the Sustainability of Tourism was held on 24-25 October 2018, in UNWTO Headquarters, Madrid, Spain.

Representatives of the Andalusia Tourism Government attended this event on behalf of NECSTouR Working group on indicators (lead by Andalusia)
