Policy Recommendations by the MED Sustainable Tourism Community

The MED Sustainable Tourism Community (the Community) is a transnational partnership of 18 sustainable tourism projects funded by the Interreg MED Programme. It aims to move towards sustainable coastal and maritime tourism by capitalising on project results and lessons learned. Based on the experience gained in the field implementing these projects, the Community aims to provide Euro-Mediterranean authorities and other stakeholders with strategic guidance on how to move towards sustainable coastal and maritime tourism in the Mediterranean.

State of the Industry: The 2019 Report on Travel Advertising

To that end, Sojern surveyed more than 600 travel marketers around the world to better understand how they’re navigating these complexities. We examine their key challenges, how they are allocating advertising budget across channels, where they are finding success, and what technologies may impact the future of marketing.

PANORAMED "Mediterranean as a Smart Destination. No more cliches"

 

The Event will highlight some cliché on the topic of SMART destinations and will focus on approaches/solutions sucessfully implemented in the MED area. The event is co-organised by the Tuscany Region.

“Mediterranean as a SMART destination” is one of the main objectives to achieve for PANORAMED Project, as stressed in the Gaps and Growth Opportunity Report (GGOR), a key document that gathers the point of view and the experience of relevant actors and stakeholders in the area.

Västra Götaland Defends Sustainable Tourism as a Catalyst for Regional Development during OECD Workshop

Visit Scotland advocates for Sustainable Tourism Growth in a Changing Climate at their Annual St Andrew's Lecture

Lord Thurso, Chair of Visit Scotland, a member of NECSTouR, delivered this year’s St. Andrew’s Lecture on 26 November in Brussels. Almost 100 representatives from the tourism industry, networks, EU institutions, academics, journalists and other stakeholders were attending, including NECSTOuR permanent secretariat.
