"Promoting European Sustainable Tourism for All" at the European Parliament

NECSTouR took the debate about the promotion of an European Sustainable Tourism for all at the European Parliament on the 20th of June though a well participated thematic public conference.

As MEP De Monte stated on her introductory remarks, the goal of this event was to animate a debate and to provide suggestions to the main European and Regional policy-makers on such an importan topic.

VisitScotland inspired by NECSTouR to promote Social Tourism

Lee Mc Ronald from Visit Scotland participated to the 3rd International Congress on Ethics and Tourism, organised on the 27-28 April in Krakow by the UNWTO.

He presented some examples of projects promoting social tourism in Scotland, enhancing Inclusion and Sustainability through Shared Responsibility, as examples of tourism for all.

"I mentioned - he said - that we have been inspired in our work by engagement with partners such as NECSTouR!"

APP TOUR YOU Conference on Accessible Tourism eLearning & Training

Learning and training in ‘Tourism for All’ are under the spotlight at this EU Conference organised by the APP TOUR YOU partnership. All tourism sector actors and stakeholders are welcome to learn about the on-line open learning course developed by APP TOUR YOU.

The conference will share training experiences and review the learning and skills requirements for accessible, inclusive tourism services, with contributions from the European Commission, tourist boards, businesses, trainers and accessible tourism experts.

The National Tourist Authority of Portugal - Accessible Tourism Destination Management Handbook.

The publication, produced by a team of ENAT experts, is designed to support the work of the Portuguese regional tourist boards and destination managers as they implement new measures to make Portugal's tourism offer more accessible and inclusive, both for domestic and international visitors.  

 

Good Practice

'Hi Belgium Pass' is a common initiative involving different Belgian organizations offering an advantageous travel formula for European Tourists. Starting on the 21th of April 2017, tourists can buy the 'Hi Belgium Pass' and fly from 50 cities in 18 European countries to Brussels Airport, from where they can take unlimited train rides around the country and visit a wealth of tourist attractions for free.
