6th UNWTO International Conference on Tourism Statistics: Measuring Sustainable Tourism.

 

Policy leaders, statisticians, academicians and private sector will convene in Manila, The Philippines, next June 2017 (21-24), to discuss new methodologies to measure the full impacts of tourism. The 6th edition of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) International Conference on Statistics, an official event of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017, will address the topic of ‘Measuring Sustainable Tourism’.

Astana EXPO 2017 National Company and UNWTO will work together to promote sustainable tourism at the international exhibition which will be held in Astana in 2017 under the theme ‘Future Energy’.

High-Level UN Conference to Support the Implementation of SDG 14 (UN Ocean Conference)

The high-level UN Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development) will be co-hosted by the Governments of Fiji and Sweden, and it will coincide with World Oceans Day 2017, on 8 June. The overarching theme of the Conference is 'Our oceans, our future: partnering for the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14'. International Forum For Responsible Tourism

The Amfiteatru Foundation is organizing the fourth edition of the International Forum for Responsible Tourism. The event will take place in Bucharest between April 27-29th and the theme of this edition is "Responsible tourism in an urban space: identities and experiences of a metropolis". Responsible tourism is a powerful concept for understanding that travel and hospitality are directly connected in a relationship based on respect for community values.
