Meeting 'Camino del Santiago Friends'

This meeting took place in Brussels, on the 10th of May, when a group of 25 members of the "Camino del Santiago Amigos" Association visited the Belgium capital and NECSTouR representatives has been invited to talk about our network

1st International UNWTO Western Silk Road Workshop

The UNWTO Silk Road Programme is a collaborative initiative designed to enhance sustainable tourism development along the historic Silk Road route. It aims to maximize the benefits of tourism development for local Silk Road communities, while stimulating investment and promoting the conservation of the route's natural and cultural heritage. Additionally, it is working to foster greater co- operation between Silk Road countries and regions, with the established aim of creating a seamless and memorable Silk Road travel experience.

6th Advisory Forum “Expanding the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe: challenges and opportunities”

Turning hiking trails into successful Tourism Products

If you would like to hear and discuss about what it takes to develop successful rural tourism products based on hiking trails in your destination, this event was the right one. The Catalan Tourism Board organized this unique one day seminar together with its partners in the HikingEurope project, co-funded by the COSME programme of the European Union.

1) Name of the cultural route: BLUe-Building River Landscape Across United Europe

Abstract: It aimed at developing a common river tourism promotion strategy at a transnational level in order to make the initiatives consistent and complementary. The ultimate objective was to define a tourism promotion policy based on the protection and enhancement of cultural resources and river landscape
 

2) Name of the project related to cultural tourism: Marimed

 

Name of the cultural route: Restoration and promotion of the Great war museum of Inssbruck

Abstract: The Veneto region is working with Land of Tirol (Austria) at a special project in the field of the promotion of cultural and natural heritage. The Interreg IV B project is about the restoration and promotion of the Great War Museum of Innsbruck and of the battlefields in Veneto, finally returned to be part of natural world.

 

 

Name of the cultural route: Bassin Roya/Bevera

Abstract: A fishing route was created through a European project of tourist halieutic cooperation. The major objective is to protect the environment of the 2 regions having numerous biological, historical, cultural and tourist wealth. Especially the aquatic environment constitutes a unique heritage for fisher.
