Researches from Links Foundation (previously SiTi) are authors of this publication edited by the Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.

Which is the maximum number of people who can visit a site, without compromising its environmental, physical, economic and socio-cultural characteristics and without reducing tourist satisfaction?

SiTi (and then LINKS) applied this evaluation for several UNESCO sites and reports in this study their experience.

2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH). Acknowledging the unique momentum of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage, NECSTouR - the European Network of Regions for Competitive and Sustainable Tourism - took the initiative to establish a Pan European Dialogue to foster greater synergy between tourism and cultural stakeholders.

We are delighted to inform you that the registration to the Final Conference of the EuroVelo 3 – Pilgrims Route Project: ‘Cycling and Cultural Tourism: the perfect Match’ is now open! The event will be taking place in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) on 25th – 26th September 2019.

4th UNWTO/UNESCO World Conference on Tourism and Culture

 

Save the Date for the  4th UNWTO/UNESCO World Conference on Tourism and Culture to take place in Kyoto, Japan from 11-13 December 2019.

Shortly we will share the conference website and provisional programme for additional information.

 

3rd International Conference on Tourism and History

 

The 3rd International Conference on Tourism and History - IIIT&H 2019 - will be organised in Faro (Portugal) and Caxias do Sul (Brazil), on the 28th and 29th of M arch 2019.

Mr José Luis Maestro from the Galicia Region has been invited as leader of the NECSTouR Working Group on Cultural Tourism to present the Barcelona Declaration "Better Places to Live, Better Places to Visit".

THIRD UNWTO/UNESCO WORLD CONFERENCE ON TOURISM AND CULTURE: FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL

(Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, 3-5 December 2018)

 

Nearly 20 tourism and culture ministers, global tourism and culture leaders and stakeholders will convene at the Third UNWTO/UNESCO World Conference on Tourism and Culture: for the Benefit of All, to be held in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey on 3-5 December 2018.
