Destination of Sustainable Cultural Tourism Awards 2019 Conferred in Granada

The city of Granada (Andalusia), hosted from the 24th to the 26th of October the 12th International Conference of Cultural Tourism in Europe, organized by the ECTN (European Network of Cultural Tourism) and awarded on behalf of NECSTouR and Andalusia Region the 3 winning destinations of the Sustainable Cultural Tourism award 2019 in the category of “Wine Tourism”.

A new Intern from Galicia to Support the NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat

My name is Paloma, I come from Spain and I will be collaborating with NECSTouR and Fundation Galicia Europa as a trainee until the end of the year.

I came to Brussels through a scholarship obtained thanks to the Axencia de Turismo de Galicia, depending on the regional Government of the Xunta de Galicia.

European Capitals of Culture - Regional Development and Culture

 

European Capitals of Culture (ECoCs) is one of the most successful programmes in the EU, promoting cultural diversity in Europe and contributing to the long-term development of cities and regions. Running since 1985, over 60 different European cities and regions have hosted the title year.

This event, organised in the framework of the European Week of Cities and Regions

NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat will attend the event.

We are delighted to inform you that the registration to the Final Conference of the EuroVelo 3 – Pilgrims Route Project: ‘Cycling and Cultural Tourism: the perfect Match’ is now open! The event will be taking place in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) on 25th – 26th September 2019.

Researches from Links Foundation (previously SiTi) are authors of this publication edited by the Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.

Which is the maximum number of people who can visit a site, without compromising its environmental, physical, economic and socio-cultural characteristics and without reducing tourist satisfaction?

SiTi (and then LINKS) applied this evaluation for several UNESCO sites and reports in this study their experience.
