The 16th European Tourism Forum

The 16th European Tourism Forum will be organised by the Estonian Presidency and will be held in Tallinn from 18 to 19 October 2017.

This year, the Forum will be dedicated to an exchange of views with Public Authorities at EU, national and regional level, European associations and international organisations, with representatives of the industry and other stakeholders on the following topics of importance:

Sustainable Certification: a Competitive Advantage for Tourism Destinations

The Catalan Government organised a twofold event: EU Ecolabel awards on Tourism Accommodation, handed by the Catalan Regional Minister of Territory and Sustainability and a Raising awareness session to introduce the EU Ecolabel on Tourism Accommodation to the Catalan sector: how to endorse it, what are the benefits (quality, efficient management of natural assets, local consumption, jobs), what are the marketing opportunities (new branding, positioning, innovation, sustainable growth).

International Forum For Responsible Tourism

The Amfiteatru Foundation is organizing the fourth edition of the International Forum for Responsible Tourism. The event will take place in Bucharest between April 27-29th and the theme of this edition is "Responsible tourism in an urban space: identities and experiences of a metropolis". Responsible tourism is a powerful concept for understanding that travel and hospitality are directly connected in a relationship based on respect for community values.
