From policy to product design and promoting lesser-known attractions, this event is an opportunity to explore how Europe’s destinations should evolve so that tourism works for visitors and the local community in the long term.
ETOA is working with partners including NECSTouR to develop its activity in support of destination sustainability and smart policy development and is pleased to invite you to join this seminar for stimulating and constructive discussion in the extraordinary setting of Venice.
The Meeting will be an excellent opportunity to discuss potentional collaboration between Affiliate Members and UNWTO and for UNWTO to strengthen its ties with its Affiliate Members. In addition, it will also allow for discussion on the programme of work of the Affiliate Members Programme ahead of the 40th Plenary Session of the Affiliate Members taking place in November.
As affiliated member of UNWTO and taking advantage of a MoU signed in 2016 and of the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, NECSTouR had arranged a meeting with the UN World Tourism Organisation last 25th of February to foster opportunities and possible actions in the framework of the Priorities and Initiatives of the both the Organisations.
NECSTouR, with the support of the European Travel Commission and the Members of the European Tourism Manifesto for Growth and Jobs, is pleased to share with you our proposal for amendments with regards to the European Commission Proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on establishing the specific programme implementing Horizon Europe – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
The UNWTO Awards recognise the contribution of public and private institutions and NGOs to development of a more competitive, responsible and sustainable tourism sector that works towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda of the United Nations. Initiatives at local, national, regional and international levels are all considered.
