I am Oyana Marius, and I will be working for NECSTouR as a Policy and Project Assistant until September 2022 by supporting the implementation of the increasing number of projects and initiatives dealing with the transition towards the “Tourism of Tomorrow”.

My main mission will be to

• monitor the tourism-related policy developments, as well as the funding opportunities and draft weekly briefings corresponding to member’s queries;
• contribute to promote members’ good practices in the European Arena and increase the engagement with EU institutions and tourism stakeholders to maximize the networking opportunities for members;
• support the network’s response to public consultations and elaboration of policy papers;
• organize working group discussions, project development meetings, informative sessions, and conferences.

I come from the Parisian suburb in France. After a bachelor’s degree in international political science at Paris-Est Creteil University, I obtained a master’s degree in European Affairs at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris. I have been working in Brussels for the last 6 month at the Île-de-France Representation to the EU as an intern where I oversaw monitoring European opportunities for the Region on several themes (environment, climate, energy, agriculture, cohesion policy…). I also did an internship in an association in the South of France (which is labeled “Europe Direct Center”) implementing European projects.
