MITOMED+ Project Meeting in Girona

 

The 11th project meeting of MITOMED+ Project has been held in Girona (ES), on the 24th and 25th of January 2019.

The event has been attended by NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat and representatives from the other Members involved in this project – Tuscany Region, Andalusia, Poreç Institute of Agriculture and Tourism and the University of Girona.

Project Capitalisation. The meeting has been the occasion to gather all the partners in order to prepare the further steps of this project. The project has now entered its Capitalisation phase, that aims to develop an integrated MED Maritime and Coastal tourism management model, including the project’s methodology and main outputs, as well as a policy paper, and foresees the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed by Mediterranean Regions to transfer the model.

NECSTouR will take an active role in this phase, by supporting the Conference of Peripheral and Maritime Regions (CPMR) in the preparation of this final outputs, by involving all the interested members.

Green Beach. The meeting has also been an important occasion to visit and inaugurate the new Green Beach - created in the framework of the project in Sant Antoni de Calonge (Costa Brava). The event has been attended by local authorities, tourism managers and journalists.
