MITOMED+ Project Presented at 2018 UNWTO Global INSTO Meeting

 

A representative of NECSTouR has been invited to present its experience on Indicators at the 2018 Meeting of the International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (INSTO) of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), organised in Madrid, on the 22-23 October 2018.

Mrs Ana Moniche and Inmaculada Gallego from the Region of Andalusia, intervened as Leaders of NECSTouR Working Group on Indicators and presented the advances of the MITOMED+ initiative as a good practice on translating Destinations Needs into Data Needs.

The Interreg MED Project MITOMED+ (Models of Integrated Tourism in the MEDiterranean Plus) is indeed a European Project that focuses on public policies for the sustainable development of maritime and coastal tourism. It develops evaluation and planning tools to help tourist destinations to improve their sustainability levels.
