NECSTouR Met the Municipal Council of Ringkøbing-Skjern to Discuss Opportunities and Next Steps

NECSTouR Secretariat met with the Municipal Council of Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality - part of the NECSTouR member Danish Western Coast Partnership - to discuss cooperation on Sustainable Tourism, Smart Funding, EU Policies, on the 14th of November at the Central Denmark EU Office in Brussels.

Members of the municipal council and their Brussels office were given a general presentation of NECSTouR advocacy actions towards a more Sustainable European Tourism Policy and the different projects supported by NECSTouR. Followed by an exchange with the Danish delegation with interrogations about what NECSTouR can do for their destination management.

NECSTouR network combines a diversity of destinations, ensuring the circulation of best practices and policy learning. As Scandinavian coastal destination, politicians from Ringkøbing-Skjern had the opportunity of learning more about other projects and initiatives led by some NECSTouR regions in the Mediterranean and to take the inspiration on how to transfer lessons learned to their destination.

Project support. NECSTouR is able to help Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality, like all members, to find their partners in the European Union towards the development of joint initiatives and projects on Sustainable Tourism.
