LIFE PROGRAMME NECSTOUR INFO DAY

We invite you to participate in the NECSTouR PROJECTS INFO DAY: 'LIFE PROGRAMME', an online event on Thursday 27 April from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm CET on the calls for proposals of 2023.

This exclusive info session for NECSTouR members only will be the opportunity to discover how the LIFE programme can benefit from the tourism sector by analysing the calls for proposals with expert speakers.

In the framework of our next Board of Directors meeting and the European Tourism Day, NECSTouR is organising an afternoon dedicated to Thematic Workshops on Thursday 4th of May from 14:00 to 17:00 CET in a hybrid format.

After a six-year mandate of Catalonia Presidency, Andalusia has taken seat of the NECSTouR Presidency until March 2023. NECSTouR is thankful for the solid leadership and actions Andalucia has taken. From 1 April 2023, Peter De Wilde chairs NECSTouR, the network uniting more than 40 top European regional destinations, on behalf of Flanders. Through interregional cooperation, NECSTouR seeks to influence European decision-making related to tourism.

Following the second call for proposals of the Interreg Europe Programme which opened on March 15th, NECSTouR organised an online Info Day on How to develop your Sustainable Tourism Project  on March 23rd.

Lanzarote to host a masterclass on sustainability for destination leaders Op-Ed Article signed by NECSTouR Managing Director Cristina Nuñez Cuesta

NECSTouR, the Network of European Regions for Sustainable and Competitive Tourism, and SPEL-Lanzarote, the organisation responsible for the tourism promotion of Lanzarote, are committed to “Empowering Destination Leaders to Deliver Sustainability” in a joint Masterclass on 14-16 March 2023 in Lanzarote. The masterclass will provide destination leaders with knowledge and practical tools to deliver the necessary action for tackling three major common challenges: reducing seasonality, measuring tourism’s carbon footprint, and fostering tourism’s climate action.
