NECSTouR Met the Municipal Council of Ringkøbing-Skjern to Discuss Opportunities and Next Steps

 

NECSTouR Secretariat met with the Municipal Council of Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality - part of the NECSTouR member Danish Western Coast Partnership - to discuss cooperation on Sustainable Tourism, Smart Funding, EU Policies, on the 14th of November at the Central Denmark EU Office in Brussels.

NECSTouR shares good practices from its members and the CHARM project on Rural Tourism in Galicia

NECSTouR was invited by the Galicia Region, a NECSTouR member, to take part of their conference about the future of the rural world, including agritourism, taking place in Santiago de Compostela, from the 5th to the 8th of November. Sandra de Puig, head of policy and knowledge at NECSTouR permanent secretariat, presented the CHARM project and the initiatives on rural tourism from different NECSTouR members.

I’m Thomas Guillot, your new communication officer for NECSTouR, responding directly to the communication manager. My main mission will be to contribute to NECSTouR communication strategy, by supporting the network promotion as well as the implementation of the network’s internal/external communication.

Patrick Torrent, President of NECSTouR, was invited to take part of ELEC-LECE Mediterranean Commission annual conference « promoting Blue Tourism » held at the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, a NECSTouR Member.

Destination of Sustainable Cultural Tourism Awards 2019 Conferred in Granada

 

The city of Granada (Andalusia), hosted from the 24th to the 26th of October the 12th International Conference of Cultural Tourism in Europe, organized by the ECTN (European Network of Cultural Tourism) and awarded on behalf of NECSTouR and Andalusia Region the 3 winning destinations of the Sustainable Cultural Tourism award 2019 in the category of “Wine Tourism”.

 

Best Practices from MITOMED+ and NECSTouR Members Inspire EcoSTRIM Workshop by Tuscany Region

 

Various experiences from NECSTouR and its members have been showcased at the “@ttrazione Mare” Workshop. That event has been organised on the 22 October in Livorno by Tuscany Region (NECSTouR founding Region) to identifying good practices and cross-border strategies towards a new sustainable approach for the innovation of the maritime and coastal tourist offer.

 

NECSTouR Best Practices Protagonist at the European Tourism Forum 2019

 

The experiences of Gothenburg and Málaga awarded as the 2019 European Capitals of Smart Tourism and the Andalusia Lab are some of the best practices from the NECSTouR destinations which has been highlighted with the occasion of the 18th European Tourism Forum who was held on the 9-10 October in Helsinki under the auspices of the Finnish Presidency of the European Union.

NECSTouR Brings its Results on Fostering Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean Area

 

Mr Tomaso Comazzi, NECSTouR Communication and Membership Manager, presented the perspective of NECSTouR and the MITOMED+ Project with the occasion of the conference "Fostering Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean Region" jointly organised by Adriatic Ionian Euroregion and Arco Latino, on behalf of the Bleutourmed project, on October 9th 2019 at the Tuscany Region Delegation Office in Brussels.

NECSTouR and CPMR committed to take steps towards in their collaboration about their involvement in political and technical initiatives concerning existing and future European Tourism policy and strategies by signing together a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

 

A new Intern from Galicia to Support the NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat

 

My name is Paloma, I come from Spain and I will be collaborating with NECSTouR and Fundation Galicia Europa as a trainee until the end of the year.

I came to Brussels through a scholarship obtained thanks to the Axencia de Turismo de Galicia, depending on the regional Government of the Xunta de Galicia.

Canary Islands was NECSTouR Speaker to ETOA Summit in the Alps

 

 Mr Sergio Moreno Gil, Vice Minister for Tourism, Industry and Commerce at the Canary Islands has been invited by the NECSTouR strategic partner of ETOA to the "European Tourism Summit in the Alps" in Lucerne.
