My name is Emme Johnson and I am the new Communication Assistant at NECSTouR. For the next six months I will be supporting the team in a variety of communication tasks related to the daily workings of NECSTouR, upcoming events and ongoing European Projects.
NECSTouR President Dr. Manuel Alejandro Cardenete, deputy-minister from Andalucía Region, presented the Tourism of Tomorrow Lab and data-oriented projects in the Mediterranean area during PANORAMED high-level event on coastal and maritime tourism. It was the first public event unveiling our Handbook on How to use EU recovery funds and ERDF 2021-2027 for sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean region.
I am Oyana Marius, and I will be working for NECSTouR as a Policy and Project Assistant until September 2022 bysupporting the implementation of the increasing number of projects and initiatives dealing with the transition towards the “Tourism of Tomorrow”.
NECSTouR and the other members of the Tourism Manifesto (70 public and private travel and tourism organisations) propose several amendments to the European Commission for the new EU Digital COVID Certificate Regulation with the aim to secure the freedom of movement across the continent and guarantee harmonised rules when the Certificate is in use.

On March 1st, 2022, the Directorate General for Maritime Affaires and Fisheries (DG MARE) organised the 2nd European Cruise Dialogue in Brussels. NECSTouR took part in the event through our president to share our priorities for sustainable cruise tourism management.

NECSTouR, on behalf of the INTERREG MED Sustainable Tourism community, is looking for specialised consultant with whom to subcontract the mission of capitalisation advisory role.
