Île-de-France relases its first annual results of the COVID era

Tourist traffic in Île-de-France Region in 2020 has been profoundly affected by the health crisis and the results of restrictive measures (quarantine, border closures, etc.). As a result, only 30.1 million passengers passed through the airports of France from January to October 2020, a decrease of 67% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The French professionals interviewed by the Regional Tourism Committee of Paris Île-de-France Region mourn a sharp drop in their turnover and are pessimistic about a resumption of their activity at the beginning of 2021... Between January and September, hotel sales fell in the range of 60% for budget hotels in France outside Paris and 78% for high-end Parisians.
