Executive Summary

This document is a brief summary of a broader work which aims to improve efforts to attract, retain, and train technological talent for the tourism sector.

This study replies to three specific questions:

Survey of the accommodation sector in Flanders

From 17 January to 11 February 2022 inclusive, VISITFLANDERS, in cooperation with Westtoer, the provincial tourist organisations and the tourist organisations of the art cities, organised a large-scale survey of the accommodation sector. This survey gauged, among other things, the status of the accommodation sector and the impact of Corona on the annual balance sheet, personnel policy and investments.
