Orientation Paper on Climate Change, Nature & Biodiversity

The Orientation paper on climate change, Nature & Biodiversity was developed by the Travel Foundation under the coordination of NECSTouR, Plan Bleu, University of Thessaly and University of Tirana. It gives a detailed overview of the frameworks and commitments related to climate change and biodiversity at the International, European and Mediterranean levels and identifies the main challenges when it comes to taking action on tourism's climate and biodiversity actions.

NECSTouR co-animating the MED Cluster on Climate change

Reporting the results of a first analysis and setting the main priorities for the activities of the cluster in the coming years, the Orientation Paper serve as a basis to launch the discussion.

Together with Plan Bleu, NECSTouR is animating the work of the MED Cluster on Climate change, aiming at facilitating the dissemination of knowledge and the transfer and mainstreaming of Interreg Euro-MED results to enhance their impact, through the involvement of relevant external actors working on tourism-related topics.

This Cluster will cover topics related to the promotion of climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention. It will give answers to the key challenges related to climate change, environmental protection and looking for better strategies for citizen involvement in the green transition.
