NECSTouR supports the Favourite Destinations Research Network

The holistic approach to sustainability and competitiveness of tourism destinations includes inevitably considering the "customer's voice". Indeed, tourists and visitors are quintessential for tourism destinations. And on the basis of this elementary axiom that without tourists a destination could not even exist, an international network of tourism researchers is carrying out a worldwide survey: worldwide favourite destinations.

International conference on Destination Branding Heritage and Authenticity (call for Papers)

First Cultural Routes Advisory Forum

In the framework of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the Cultural Routes, the first Cultural Routes Advisory Forum to take place.

Since the 1st January 2011, The Enlarged Partial Agreement (EPA) on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe came into force with the two main objectives of contributing to the promotion of European identity and citizenship through the knowledge and awareness of Europe's common heritage and developing cultural links and dialogue in Europe as well as other countries and regions.

Calypso Workshop 2011

14-15/06 2011- Vuokatti (Fi)

The first Calypso Workshop of 2011 was held in collaboration with Kainuu Region, the European Commission and Able Access for All Exchange (AAAE), one of the projects awarded by Calypso co-financing. Finnish and European associations, stakeholders and Member States directly or indirectly involved in social tourism issues attended this event such as the International Social Tourism Organisation.
