In the framework of our next Board of Directors meeting and the European Tourism Day, NECSTouR is organising an afternoon dedicated to Thematic Workshops on Thursday 4th of Mayfrom 14:00 to 17:00 CET in a hybrid format.
We are kindly inviting you to come to NECSTouR's office - Visit Flanders, Grasmarkt 61 in Brussels - to share a networking lunch from 13:00.
The programme includes the two following workshops:
After a six-year mandate of Catalonia Presidency, Andalusia has taken seat of the NECSTouR Presidency until March 2023. NECSTouR is thankful for the solid leadership and actions Andalucia has taken. From 1 April 2023, Peter De Wilde chairs NECSTouR, the network uniting more than 40 top European regional destinations, on behalf of Flanders. Through interregional cooperation, NECSTouR seeks to influence European decision-making related to tourism.
NECSTouR, the Network of European Regions for Sustainable and Competitive Tourism, and SPEL-Lanzarote, the organisation responsible for the tourism promotion of Lanzarote, are committed to “Empowering Destination Leaders to Deliver Sustainability” in a joint Masterclass on 14-16 March 2023 in Lanzarote. The masterclass will provide destination leaders with knowledge and practical tools to deliver the necessary action for tackling three major common challenges: reducing seasonality, measuring tourism’s carbon footprint, and fostering tourism’s climate action.
In 2018, the Barcelona Declaration “Better Places to Live Better Places to Visit” was created from the willingness of NECSTouR members to respond to the residents’ concerns about the uses of territorial assets for tourism activity.
Don't miss 'NECSTouR PROJECTS INFO DAY: Develop Your Sustainable Tourism Project', an online event taking place on 23 March at 10:00 am CET on the 2nd call for proposals of the Interreg Europe Programmeopenfrom 15 March 2023.
