Initially planned near Ljubljana, the last Star Citiesinternational learning session will be a virtual event, held fully online.
"Nowadays, we are aware that the quality of the environment, both natural and man-made, is essential to tourism and that the topics of environment & sustainability should be dealt with care and together with policy and decision makers. With its last interregional learning session, the STAR Cities partnership will share experiences from their cities and regions with the main goal to improve their attractiveness through river tourism development".
The Star Cities project is looking for a NECSTouR speaker
To complete the line-up for the morning of the 20th, we are looking for experiences from DMOs or local/regional authorities supporting the development of sustainable river tourism products. You'll be speaking with the the presentations of "environmentally friendly hybrid catamaran", "long-term unemployed people to help them in their social and economic integration" or "electric licence-free boats". The challenge is to understand how regions can help the private services and tourism providers to improve the sustainable aspect of their products/offer. If you think you have a relevant good practice in your territory, please send us an email.
