NECSTouR and the other partners attended in Florence the kick-off meeting of MITOMED+ Project on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2017.

The main objective of this new project is to enhance the sustainability and responsibility in Maritime and Coastal Tourism, setting up a MED tourism management model in this field.

NECSTouR will be massively involved in this project. The Permanent Secretariat is indeed a project’s partner, together with various of its members: Tuscany Region (project’s leader), Andalusia, National Research Council - Institute of Biometeorology, University of Girona, Institute of Agriculture and Tourism of Poreč.

Moreover, as Tomaso Comazzi stated during this kick-off meeting: “NECSTouR’s member Regions will be the main ambassadors of MITOMED+”.

As it already happened for MITOMED Project, all the NECSTouR’s Regions from the MED area will be invited indeed into provide their contribution and feedbacks and to support the Permanent Secretariat into the organisation of a Workshop to promote the transferability plan that will be developed during MITOMED+.

This will happen in cooperation with the CPMR and its Regions on the Mediterranean.

This first kick-off meeting set all the basis for a positive cooperation of all the parties. Now the work must be started!
