NECSTouR’s President Elena Baena will speak at a high-level conference in the European Parliament on 1 October on Establishing Sustainable Tourism Destinations in the European Union.
The event is being organised by the European Parliament’s TRAN Committee Vice Chair Mrs Elena Kountoura MEP. Across two panels, the event will look at (i) policies for sustainable and resilient tourism destinations by 2030 and (ii) the urgent need for a European Data/Monitoring System for the establishment of sustainable tourism destinations.
NECSTouR’s Tourism of Tomorrow Lab is now in its fourth year of operations providing dedicated support to regions/DMOs in the area of data and knowledge as part of NECSTouR’s Pathway to 2030 Strategy. As the EU prepares for a new European Tourism Strategy due out next year, we look forward to the discussion with tourism stakeholders.
