Lanzarote has been championing its sustainability agenda partnering with well-known organizations and experts and the Island’s authorities to celebrate the commemoration of 30 years since signing the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism. Lanzarote invites NECSTouR to collaborate once again by co-organising a meaningful event for the network’s members and strategic partners to condsolidate their learning and benchmark on sustainable destination governance with a focus on climate change action.

Lanzarote is championing its sustainability agenda partnering with well-known organisations and experts, and the Island’s authorities to celebrate the commemoration of 30 years of signing the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism. Lanzarote invites NECSTouR to collaborate once again by co-organising a meaningful event for the network’s members and strategic partners during which participants will consolidate their learning and benchmark on sustainable destination governance, with a focus on climate change action.

The NECSTouR 2030 Pathway, notably the climate change related objective, offers the right framework with concrete targets for Lanzarote and NECSTouR members to accelerate their net zero journey through interregional collaboration and the NECSTouR’s pathway and our three hubs: Governance, Data, and Climate Action. In this setting, NECSTouR is pleased to invite its members and partners to the Knowledge Day 2025 – DMOs in action: Sustainable Tourism Governance for Climate Action, a milestone in NECSTouR’s climate action pathway.

A two-day programme co-organised by NECSTouR and the Lanzarote Tourist Board.
