European Week of Regions and Cities

From 12-14 October, Brussels will host the European Week of Regions and Cities, which is the EU’s largest event dedicated to Cohesion Policy. The event seeks to bring together cities and regions from across Europe to foster cooperation, knowledge exchange and addressing regional and urban challenges.

This year’s theme is centred around the motto “Strong regions, strong Europe”, as the event focuses on bringing together stakeholders from cities and regions across Europe. This edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities is an opportunity to exchange ideas, grow partnerships and share experience on how cohesion policy.

There is still time to be part of the EURegionsWeek Close-to-you programme is a series of events that are connected to the European Week of Regions and Cities by theme.

Close-to-you sessions start on the same date as the EURegionsWeek programme in Brussels, 12 October, but continue until 20 December 2026. These sessions will bring the EURegionsWeek close to communities across Europe while strengthening engagement, cooperation and dialogue throughout the programme period.
