NECSTouR Responses on Strategic Planning for Sustainable Tourism Development presented at the European Tourism Forum

 

On the occasion of the European Tourism Forum 2018, Mr Boštjan BRUMEN, Head of Internationalisation at the Slovenian Chamber of Tourism and Hospitality has been invited to intervene on "Strategic planning for sustainable tourism development".

As co-leader of the initiative, he presented the initiative "Digitalisation and Safety for Tourism", under the Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation (S3P-Industry), by the European Commission.

This initiative is aimed to support increased investments, regional growth, work opportunities and innovations in Tourism, with a specific priority on Digitalisation, Safety and Sustainability.

NECSTouR Endorsement. The initiative is supported by NECSTouR and promoted by five of its member Regions - Andalusia, Catalonia, Lazio, Tuscany and the Valencia Region.

The European Tourism Forum has been organised on the 1st and 2nd of October 2018 by the Austrian Presidency of the EU and the European Commission Tourism Unit. This year’s programme evolved around the topic of Designing Tourism for Quality of Life and Value Added.

NECSTouR Participation. The event was attended by Mr Jan Korthoudt, Vice-President of NECSTouR and Marta Domper, from the NECSTouR Permanent Secretariat.
