Hola!
My name is Adriana Tramullas De Nys, and I recently joined NECSTouR as a Projects Officer with the aim to support the team in a variety of ongoing European projects linked to sustainable tourism governance. My mission will be to:
Born in Barcelona, I was raised in a Spanish-Belgian bi-lingual environment, that influenced my curiosity for discovering new cultures. Studying tourism then helped me understand the challenges that are faced by local and visiting communities and how to overcome them to create a lasting positive impact in every tourism destination.
After graduating with honours at the Universitat Ramon Llull with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, I worked for several years as a Project Manager at the Barcelona International Convention Centre. I then pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Sustainable Strategy and Management for Tourism Destinations certified by the UNWTO, that shaped my interest for the fields of tourism policy, sustainable development, and competitiveness in tourism destinations.
Last year I collaborated for a 6-months period with an Interreg project in the French-Caribbean island of Martinique, aimed at promoting tourism and culture as catalysts for economic development in the Greater Caribbean. It is thanks to this experience that I developed a strong curiosity for European projects and interregional cooperation, which led me to search for opportunities in the field.
I am eager to develop great synergies with NECSTouR's team, members and partners, and to contribute to making destinations and communities flourish through tourism.
