UNWTO: International Tourist Arrivals Could Fall by 20-30% in 2020

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has released its updated assessment of the likely impact of the COVID-19 on international tourism.

Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative

The European Commission has proposed a Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative (CRII) to mobilise cohesion policy to respond to the needs in the most exposed sectors, such as healthcare, SMEs and labour markets, and help the most affected territories in Member States and their citizens.

2030 Climate Target Plan

To put the EU firmly on a path towards climate neutrality by 2050, the European Commission will propose an increased greenhouse gas emission reduction target for 2030 from at least 40% to at least 50% to 55% (compared to 1990), including through an amendment to the recently proposed Climate Law.
