On Wednesday 19th February 2020, ECF and the Croatian National Tourism Board organise a workshop with decision makers in Brussels on cycling tourism in the Mediterranean area. NECSTouR is attending the event to intervene on cooperation and sustainable tourism.
The event will take place at the Croatian Permanent Representation and will feature contributions on the following topics:
- The benefits of cycling tourism for the Mediterranean Area and its contribution to the European Green Deal
- How to get the best out of cycling tourism and identifying where the money is available
NECSTouR Permanent secretariat was invited to share its view on how to manage the continuing growth of the tourism sector to ensure its sustainably, through our participation in the MED Sustainable Tourism community.
What is ECF?
The European Cyclists' Federation is promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy means of transportation. This event will also be the occasion to present the results of the EuroVelo 8 - Mediterranean Route MEDCYCLETOUR Interreg Project, a three year project supporting the current development of this long-distance cycle route that connects the whole Mediterranean from Cyprus to Cádiz.
