To be a smart destination, Tuscany Region favour the digitalisation of the entire tourism chain, through financial instruments, ad hoc events and active involvement of private companies in its digital promotion campaign.
1.Among events, BTO is the networking event on digital tourism, dedicated to the whole value chain: public institutions, DMOs, private actors and IT companies. Thanks to BTO participants can learn about the latest trends, receive stimuli and ideas, enter into relationships with leading companies, institutions, media and international researchers. BTO 2020, the 12th edition, was a 2 days events, with 80 workshops, 210 speakers coming from 11 countries and 17 hours of toolkits.
2. To actively involve companies in its digital promotion, Tuscany Region launched a “call” to invite economic operators to propose new offers consistent with the summer 2020 promotion campaign.
The visittuscany.com portal acted as a collector and showcase for all the offers, which thus benefited from the "traffic" generated by the branding campaign.
