Open to everyone, the Interreg Euro-MED Academy Learning Programme on “Funding cooperation mechanisms and opportunities for a sustainable Mediterranean” Learning Programme aims to reflect on the future of European Territorial Cooperation and present several ways of improvement in the Mediterranean. It offers a valuable and unique set of material, reflections and knowledge related to funding cooperation mechanisms and opportunities for sustainable development in the Mediterranean area. Courses start on June 13, 2022.

It consists of 5 modules covering different aspects related to the rationalisation of the use and landing of funds onto territories for better use and more sustainability, including

1. an overview on EU programmes and funding opportunities addressing the main challenges in the Mediterranean;
2. an analysis of cooperation and funding opportunities in a post-COVID-19 context;
3. a reflection on cooperation and European Territorial Cooperation programmes in the Mediterranean in a post-COVID19 context;
4. an analysis of the added value of European Territorial Cooperation as a means to influence and upgrade public policies;
5. basic knowledge and tips on project cycle management.

The module will be enriched with tangible examples and practices from different actors and representatives of the Interreg MED Programme, among others.

This learning program is developed jointly by the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), the UNIMED network and NECSTouR in the framework of the Interreg Euro-MED Academy, an open-access learning space co-created by the eight Interreg MED Programme’s Thematic Communities and PANORAMED, the governance platform, that opened its virtual doors in February 2022. NECSTouR is also involved in another learning programme on Sustainable Tourism.
