During July 2020, the Balearic Islands received altogether a total of 588.000 international tourists in July, 70.2% less international tourists than in 2019.
- Decrease 60% compared to last year. In July the decrease 42%, less intense than the whole country - Better behavior of domestic tourism is observed compared to the foreigner. This better behaviour translates into an increase in intraregional tourist of around 10 points.
Tourism on the West Coast of Denmark is recovering largely in due to a combination of the reopening of the southern borders and an increase in domestic tourism. The number of overnight stays in July has increased 7,5% compared to July 2019 (from 2,974,031 overnight stays in July 2019 to 3,198,107 in July 2020).
55% of capacity was reached in summer. Not all the same in the regions of Andalusia: rural area and mountainous area the tourism figures have been excellent. Other areas inland have had 80% of occupation. The coast has had 65% or even 35%.
Some of the regions for the decrease has been the reduction of flights
- Initially in Sweden they were only able to travel 2hours from home, so the strategy was oriented towards “staycation”. The 4th of June the travel burdens were lifted and all companies prepared themselves to welcome Swedish guests in a Corona friendly way.
At the beginning of Summer, a new tourism promotion campaign has been launched for the internal market. The campaign has been enriched with specific offers by the private section, coherent with the overall strategy of the campaign (public-private co-operation).

The Directorate on Planning and Strategic Development of the Veneto Region has activated an online platform aimed at gathering the regional measures adopted to face the COVID-19 pandemic.
The National and Federal governments have united its forces and created a unique portal dedicated to Coronavirus health updates, measures implemented, support to enterprises, among others.
